All of our machining centres are well equipped using the latest tooling and tool holders, with all of our machines networked to our design office.

Hi-Tech. Manufacturing

Crown Precision Engineering believes in investing in the latest technology and machining methods. We have a full range of the latest high speed digital machining centres and can offer complete manufacture on our latest Daewoo Puma 2000SY CNC turning centre.

Crown also utilises Daewoo's Puma 2000SY, complete with sub-spindle and hydrafeed short magazine bar feed, swarf conveyor system. This produces larger size components than previously possible allowing one stop machining using the full 'Y' and 'C' axis and driven tools. Complex turn/mill components can be undertaken with a through bar capacity of 65mm Dia and a chucking capacity of 300mm Dia.

Design Office

We at Crown Engineering utilize Full 3D CAD CAM Systems to competitively provide a full modelling and manufacturing service. We by virtue of our belief in high technology investment and ongoing commitment to customer liaison have the second to none ability to embark on a project at any stage and work from any form of data supplied.

Inspection

We have a purpose built Inspection area following procedures laid out in our Quality Assurance Manual and are ISO 9001:2000 registered. All components manufactured within our machine shop are checked and inspected on our Mitutoyo co-ordinate measuring machine. All of our Inspection equipment is calibrated on a regular basis to ensure full traceability to National Standards.

Administration

Tight administration is one of the key elements of our smooth-flow and short lead-time deadlines. We use a dedicated manufacturing MRP system (illustrated below) which offers full product traceability and on-time delivery using scheduling software with gantt charts.

Dedicated building for the control of goods in and goods out which also comprises a large Clean Assembly Room.
